There are a variety of ways to measure your results. You can go by the pounds that you lose or have a goal weight in mind. You can also measure your success by the size of clothes you can wear. Or you might track it by the type of clothes you can wear. It might be your goal to lose enough to wear skinny jeans.

The fit of your clothing is actually a really good way to measure your success. When you start working out, you will gain muscle. As muscle is heavier than fat, you can get frustrated when you do not see a loss in weight. You need to be looking at more than a scale.

As you are planning out your goals, make some to reach along the way so you get a feeling of accomplishment as they are achieved. This helps to keep you motivated. When you reach one of these smaller goals, treat yourself with something other than food.

Let the jeans keep you motivated to keep your good habits. In fact, you can have a mental picture of the outfit you want to wear when you reach your final goal. There could be a brown boot that goes perfectly with the jeans. You can even make your intermediary rewards be the accessories for your outfit such as the boots, earrings and a necklace.

If you keep working on your plan and do not give up, you will be there before you know it. It takes hard work and dedication but it will be worth it. Especially when you have the after photo taken in your new clothes.
